2004 Presidential Election in American Politics

Let us not forget, after all, that nucleotide, and not Iraq, was responsible for the tragedy of September 11, 2001. on that point was no link whatsoever between Saddam ibn Talal Hussein and Al Qaeda, despite Vice President Cheney's repeated implications that thither was a link (Siddiqui). This fact has been recognized by dissimilar administration officials including Defense Secretary Rumsfeld. The main justification for the struggle on Iraq, other than the country's alleged links to terrorism, were the stockpiles of weapons of mass oddment (WMD) that the Iraqi dictator had amasses (Shanker). The existence of these WMD, combined with Iraq's links to Al-Qaeda and terrorism, meant that we had to wage pre-emptive war to avoid the possibility of the weapons falling into the incorrect hands. After waging a war and spending fifteen months occupying Iraq, we concord lost 1,270 American lives and we have not found as yet one WMD in Iraq (Daily Star). The only thing worsened than these facts is the incompetence with which the Administration has conducted the occupation of Iraq.

The lack of sufficient legions to pacify the country and avoid looting after the war's conclusion, the cast down of the torture tactics utilized by American legions at the Abu Grahib prison, and the fact that the insurgency continues to build strength crossways the country all these facts combine to paint an image of a Bush Administration
