Gas Law Lab

Procedure

First, my group and I gathered our materials. We used the spray to lay in bobble from the surroundings and once the desired amount of gun for hire was obtained in the syringe, we put the syringe through a altogether in a finish and closed the syringe with the cover. We wherefore recorded the initial mint of gas in the syringe before the books were placed on a block on the other end of the syringe. After measuring the volume, we applied the books onto the block above the syringe. We added the books one at a metre, and each time a book was added, we measured the volume. We added a total of 10 books and comp ared the estimate of books to the volume of the gas to find the descent in the midst of the two.

Analysis

1. Graph 1 attached to write-up.

2. Graph 2 attached to write-up.

3. What type of relationship is shown by the number of books versus volume in the graph?

Ordercustompaper.com is a professional essay writing service at which you can buy essays on any topics and disciplines! All custom essays are written by professional writers!

In the graph, an inverse proportion is demonstrated, as shown in Graph 1. As the number of books increase, the volume of the gas in the syringe decreases. The number of books and the volume of the gas are inversely proportional to each other.

4. What is the slope of the line of the number of books versus the inverse of the volume in the graph?

slope = y2 y1 = 2 1 books = 1 book = 200 books/L
x2 x1 0.0384 - 0.0334 L 0.005 L

5. Does the data disprove or prove Boyles legal philosophy? Explain.

The data and the graphs prove Boyles Law. Boyles Law explains the relationship between pressure and volume. Boyles...If you want to get a integral essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
