For this paper, you leave conduct a study of the refuse generated at bottom a home or work over the accomplishment of
one week and examine the relationship between know behaviors and the material remains they leave behind.
Thus, you exit be conducting an ethnoarchaeological experimentation relating common household or office activities

PART I: accumulate THE DATA (10 points total)
First, you will need to pick a trash or garbage net that you typically use on a regular basis and that is not used by
a large number of unknown people. Your best bet will probably be a garbage terminate in your own kitchen or
bathroom, or in an office or workplace where you are the primary contributor of waste. Make sure the can is
empty at the beginning of your hitch of observation. Over the period of at least one week, reserve as dilate a log
as possible of all the activities that go on in and around the room in which this garbage can is located.



If other
people also use this garbage can, try to keep track of their activities in the area as well (without devising them feel
like you are stalking them, of course!). You do not need to personally identify the people who use the garbage
can. You will be required to turn this activity log in with your finished paper.
After a period of at least a week (you may want to wait semipermanent depending on the volume of trash accumulated –
the more the better(p)!), carefully sort through the trash and write knock down a list of what you find. Imagine that you are
a true archaeologist, and ready a systematic way of “excavating” the trash to preserve as much cultural
