Christian Moral Decision Making
FRIDAYS EVENT BIBLICAL hold
On Fri daylight I had my first opportunity to listen to a biblical scholar. At first I was a undersize hesitant and thought that maybe this event wouldnt be the funnest. I also took my mother along with me because she thought it would be a good experience for both of us. The Biblical scholars name was Barbara Green. She came to express to us all the way from the Dominican school of pietism in San Francisco. As soon as she began to speak to established it wasnt just a biblical study it was also a memorial that was created after the death of a professor at St. Thomas University about 15 years ago. I didnt truly hear his last name, but his first name was Ray. obviously professor Ray was a great individual that had a batch of offer to his students. At the memorial were a some of his family members and two of his former students. One of those students was Cary Roach. She was extremely emotional as she round about her former professor, she said a some nice words about him. afterwards Cary Roach spoke we said a prayer and had a nice blink of an eye of silent in his name. Then the study began.
On this day we were studying Genesis 37-50: the figment of Joseph and his family.
The story was a lot more interesting and a bit more conglomerate then I thought. We broke down the story guide by line and after we did all this I had a much much better understanding of this story. We looked at the story in different positions through out. Sometimes we would look at in the eyes of Joseph, and sometimes in the eyes of his brothers.
The focalise of going over this story was to help answer intravenous feeding big questions. Those questions were the following:
what is scripture?, why do we train it?, how do we read it?, how not: some ways to avoid.
