This research paper is concerned in recognizing the differences surrounded by position and Arabic vowels that lead to commit orthoepy defects by Arab learners of position. It focuses on first level university female students in Gaza. This study is do in order to find out weather the mistake is because of teachers, or students carelessness. After analyzing the data of twenty questionnaires given to the students, the results revealed that the dickens branches (teachers and students) are involved in causing making orthoepy errors. At the end, the paper finally provides some suggestions for teachers and students to improve students orthoepy of vowels.
Introduction
In any language we can identify a small number of regularly used sounds(vowels and consonants)that we call phonemes; for example, the vowels in the words pin and pen are different phonemes ,and so are the consonants at the beginning of the words pet and bet. Because of the notoriously confusing nature of deliver spelling, it is particularly important to learn to sound off of face pronunciation in terms of phonemes rather than letters of alphabet. Learning how to gauge English properly and correctly is the first step towards know English as a second or a foreign language.
