Stories, Plays and Poetry
A literary work that captured my attention from this weeks reading was chapter one. I really enjoy stories, tours and poetry. I often write meters some my emotions, whether it is love or if I am in a downer mood. When I was younger I would top up short stories written in the form of a play and write. That was a joy back then because it helped me mail reality. I believe that stories, plays and poetry can be a fashion for people to relax and even escape reality for a moment.
Chapter one describes how reading a accounting, play or poem can take you to an conceptional world which allows people to escape reality for a moment. It states: You are pulled away from a living, public discussion world into one that was created in the mind of the author. Its situations and experiences may check ones you are familiar with; many of them may even be based in part on real situations, only if they are imaginary numberâ€"shaped by the imagination of the soulfulness who created the story, poem, or play you are reading. To experience these forms of literature, you must make an intentional decision to turn yourself over to an imaginary realm.(Clugston, 2010.
) I have read something where I was pulled into the imagination of the author. Its in truth exciting to find a play, poem or story that can catch my interest in such a way. I believe that to be able to experience the imaginary form of literature, you have to free your mind and let the piece of literature take over. As adults, we are grounded by the demands of our perfunctory lives, preoccupied with responsibilities and endless schedulesâ€"not to mention university course assignments! So, opting for a proficient connection to a literary world is demanding: It requires permit go of things at hand and engaging in imaginary things.
