Biosocial Development
1. How does the toddler compare in height and cant over to developmental norms? Consult the height and weight chart.
Jack (age: 15 months) Weighs: 28 pounds.
Jack is in the 85th percentile in weight according to the CDC developmental norms chart.
Jack is 31 inches tall. This puts him in the 50th percentile in height according to the CDC developmental norms chart.
Motor Development: (pp. 137-140)
2. run the physical movement twisting when the toddler throws a ball, pounds a toy with a putz or pushes or pulls a toy.
When Jack throws a ball, he throws it with his reform hand up slightly; approximately 2-4 inches above his head. Being that the ball was bigger than his hand, it was a bit demanding to fully grasp, so as he threw it, it was at a 45-degree angle with some control.
3. Describe how the toddler picks up toys from the floor.
Indicate the type of grasp the child uses
Jack used the volar grasp to pick up objects such as blocks and quaggy balls from the floor. Throughout the observation, he picked up many objects such as the peach squishy ball that he threw and blocks that he give to his mother or put away in the bucket.
4. Describe how the toddler burn downs on a chair and sits in it.
To climb onto the small green chair, he first put 2 hands on the seat and attempted to out his right knee on the chair. Next, he moved his hands with the go away on the table and the right on the top female genital organ of his chair. Once he successfully was on the chair, he was on his knees with his right hand on the backside of the chair.
