days for stealing a loaf of bread. After his release, Valjean planned to preen Monseigneur Mayriel

at all phased by the fact that he was a convict. Then that very night, Valjean went and stole
Myriels silverware and ran as cold as he could. Valjean is later found, arrested and brought back to
