Nick Carraway finds his true identity on the East Coast. He grew up with strong moral values based saturnine of proper morality, decency, and hard work. The obsession of attaining the American Dream with diligence and drudgery are principal to Nick, however, the naïve ways of the new money he encounters contradict. The flamboyancy and lavishness of the homes in late York made Nick realize that he in actuality longs for the simmpleness of his old Midwestern wife.
