Victoria Marvin War in Iraq The Iraq war began in 2003 as a result of terrorist attacks in the United States in 2001. On September 11, 2001 three planes had been hijacked and 2 had flown into the twin towers in vernal York City, one attack had also been on the Pentagon killing over 3,000 people. President W. Bush believed Al Qaeda’s ibn Talal ibn Talal Hussein Hussein to be responsible for such a crush day. The terrorist attack had been the most deadly ever on American soil, marking a major turning point in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim World. The United States phalanx being in Iraq has kept our country safe jumper lead other terrorist attacks. The reason behind staying in Iraq for so languish is because Iraq’s government is in no state to assail on their own without the help that the United States and others are providing. Iraq already with a federalist structure, the constitution provides for 18 provinces to join togeth er in like-minded regions.

(Biden, 2006) With Iraq in a desperate need for a functioning state and society the Bush Administration’s efforts to re-establish order has been anything exactly successful, which brings us to Obama who opposes the invasion of Iraq from the beginning yet believes that we’ve got to do everything we can to stabilize the country, make it successful, and if not in that respect will be much at stake in the Middle East. (Wehner, 2008) Obama is hoping that training Iraqi forces to “stand up” so that we can “stand down and reduce the amount of troops.
