Maries parents just did not understand. It was Maries first time in public schooling and after years of tutors and home schooling, Marie was smart and bright and sack to High school. What Mr. and Mrs Samuels did not understand was why their daughter was attempt in English. She was perfectly prepared for High School. Her parents got the best tutors and followed the some prestigious lesson plans they could find, triple checked that they were teaching her allthing, and even went as far as to set up an appointment with every one of her teachers to make sure that she was on the right track. They were despotic she was prepared so then why was she not doing intumesce?
Like most African American families the Samuels had a tightly fitting community that cared for each other and loved to hear well-nigh each others successes. Mrs. Samuels loved to brag round her amazing daughter and her vast amount of knowledge and, vocalizing her fri residuals at church that she was going to college for sure. When Maries grandmother visited, Mrs. Samuels make sure to pull out every academic transaction of Maries she could find. As enthusiastic of Maries grades as her mother was, she was alike very right about her daughter.
Marie was very intelligent and could fault up information quickly and easily. Everyone was baffled when she began to struggle to produce a good grade.
A verbal shouting check bubbled to the surface when another report card came home. Mr. Samuels held the argument that Marie was not studying hard enough. He asked, What do you even do in that classroom!? Quietly, Marie responded, Every day, I walk in and find a school text and a long invention on my desk. The teacher tells us to read a chapter of the textbook and three chapters of the novel and take notes on both. At the end of every class, we take an open note quiz on what we had read the previous day.
