Introduction
According to the National Statistics (2009) five deaths in both six are people aged 65 or over, and one in five of all deaths take speckle in a wish well home. Description
Throughout my supervised practice, I acknowledged the charter of improving my knowledge and skills related to end of life, palliative and confirmatory care. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (2004) highlighted the right to verifying and palliative care of people who die, regardless of diagnosis or circumstances in any care environment. Focussing on care homes, the National Council for Palliative Care (2006), describes the end of life care as an active compassionate approach that treats, solace and supports mortals who are living with or dying from progressive or chronic life threatening conditions. The Council described palliative care as care of diligents with serious illness from which recovery is non expected.



In the same time supportive care helps the patient and their family to cope with their condition and treatment, to maximise the benefits of treatment and belong as well as possible with the effect of the malady.
Feelings
This experience helped me to view the care of dying patients as an ingrained aspect of nursing. Defining nursing, Virginia Henderson (1997) verbalize: Nursing is primarily assisting the individual in the performance of those activities contributing to health and its recovery, or to a peaceful death. This definition shows the link between palliative care and nursing.
